Women’s Chamber

Women’s Chamber is an advanced choir consisting of approximately 50 voices. They have performed in the Community Christmas celebration at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Raleigh as well as participating at NCMEA Large Festival, where they consistently receive superior ratings. In 2015 the Women’s Chamber also performed at National Conference of Magnet Schools of America. All off-campus performances require completion of a parental consent form. Last Spring the Women’s Chamber choir traveled to Carowinds to perform at the Festival in the Park and enjoy some girl bonding time and amusement park rides! They were also able to attend a rehearsal and a class in musicianship with Dr. Nana Wolfe-Hill at Wingate University. This was wonderful experience for the Chamber group. This was such a great experience for the singers last year, Mr Adams has arranged for the Women’s Chamber Choir to  have the Masterclass and time in the park once again.

Attire for Women’s Chamber is a long, blue dress purchased through the chorus department.

Students may participate in fundraisers to help cover the cost of the spring trip, attire and the chorus obligation fee.

Required Fees:

– Attire (approximately) $75

– Choir Fee $50

The Choral Department utilizes an online system called “Charms” to help parents keep track of their student’s private choral account. Login information will be given to the students when they begin attending a Choral Department class. Once you have your student’s login information you can view your student’s balance due, amount of funds raised, and make payments.

Each year the choral department grants a one-time scholarship of $500 to a deserving senior with at least six semesters of experience with the choral department. For more information and to apply for the scholarship download the Marley Scholarship application Form.
